Dubai Visa for Vietnamese Citizens | Requirements & Application

Everything that Vietnamese travellers need to know about Dubai visa requirements, documents, fees, and processing time before applying.

Vietnamese passport holders usually need a visa to travel to Dubai. But, from 25 June 2026, this has changed for some Vietnamese travellers. You may now be eligible for a UAE visa on arrival if you hold a valid residence permit from an eligible country and you’re living outside Vietnam.

This is a necessary update for the large Vietnamese community living across the UK, Europe, North America, and other eligible regions. You no longer need to apply for a visa in advance when you’re living in the UK or another qualifying country. Those who do not meet the visa-on-arrival eligibility requirements will need to apply online via a registered UAE visa agency before travel.

UK Residents Travelling on a Vietnam Passport

UK residents travelling on a Vietnamese passport continuously visit Dubai. They go for short holidays, shopping trips, family visits, and seasonal breaks. The route has turned into a popular one due to continuous flights from major UK airports via the Gulf. The reputation of Dubai as a safe, modern, and widely accessible destination has also helped to get the tourism numbers high every year.
